What?
This position coordinates shift activities and crews to ensure employee safety, product quality, and shift schedule is complete.
Working schedule: 2, 2, 3 schedule rotation 6:45pm-7am, including every other weekend
Main aspects of the role include:
- Prioritizes personal and food safety as the most critical objective and models safe behavior
- Perform QFE functions to support Food and Life Sciences Quality teams
- Manage daily staffing demands to run efficiently, meet production schedule, and reduce labor variance considering needs of Plant 2 and 3 priorities
- Provides leadership to employees during assigned shift to ensure effective teamwork
- Provides tasking, training, and direction to shift personnel
- Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures
- Noise level in the work environment can be loud
- Exposure to various food allergens
- Regular requirement to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, reach, carry, and lift and twist
- Must be able to regularly lift 15 pounds and up to 50 pounds
OFD contains office, manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand and climb; bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools, controls; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry tools or items. This position also requires a person to handle environments of varied temperatures and with various food allergens present; and be comfortable at various heights.

This individual must have in-depth knowledge of equipment, products, and production procedures, preferable in food or life sciences manufacturing. Proven leadership skills and 3 years of experience are required. It is essential for this person to have basic math ability, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Additionally, reliable transportation is necessary with the requirement to be able to transport between company locations. This candidate should have the ability to work 12 hour day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays. The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, respond to operational demands, and maintain focus during extended shifts is crucial for success in this position.
